2015 Year Review

I have not posted a thing in ages. Mostly, because I found it to be chore and was losing my sense of humor. "It was boring"...as my sister so graciously informed me. Gotta love that honesty.

I do love having a spot for Zach and I to look back and see our year together though... so here is another year-end review (better late than never).

**There are several project photos missing...I will locate and add later.

Engagement Night

FOR YEARS, ZACH HAS BEEN PLAYING A GAME WITH ME.
IF I CAN GUESS THE ARTIST OF "THIS" SONG THEN HE WILL BUY ME A DIAMOND RING. THE PROBLEM IS...I REALLY SUCK AT THIS GAME.
SO, ON THIS NIGHT, WE WERE COOKING OUT AND ENJOYING MUSIC ON THE PATIO AS USUAL. HE GAVE ME TWO CHOICES...1) GUESS ONE ARTIST OUT OF THE NEXT THREE SONGS ON THE COFFEE HOUSE STATION OR 2) GUESS THE ARTIST OF THE NEXT SONG ON 90S ON 9; AND HE WOULD BUY ME A DIAMOND RING IN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS.
IT WAS A TOUGH DECISION BUT I DECIDED TO PUT MY FAITH IN THE 90S. HE COULDN'T BELIEVE IT. THE ODDS WERE NOT IN MY FAVOR. WE SWITCHED STATIONS AND LISTENED WHILE I STUFFED MY FACE WITH CORN ON THE COB.
THE NEXT SONG CAME ON...WE PAUSED...I SMILED.
HE SAID, "YOU DON'T KNOW WHO THIS IS."
I SAID, "I THINK I DO! ...ACE OF BASE!!!" (I LOVE ME SOME ACE OF BASE..THANK YOU, LORD!)
I THEN WENT ON TO TEASE HIM ABOUT HOW HE HAD TO REALLY BUY ME A RING NOW, AND I MADE A FEW SUGGESTIONS, BEFORE JUMPING UP FROM MY CHAIR AND GOING INSIDE TO WASH MY HANDS CLEAN OF CORN JUICE.
(ZACH LATER TOLD ME THAT THE CORN ON THE COB WAS A HUGE FLAW IN HIS PROPOSAL PLAN, LOL).
I WENT BACK OUTSIDE, STILL GLEAMING WITH PRIDE OVER MY MUSICAL VICTORY AND SAT DOWN TO CONTINUE OUR NIGHT ON THE PATIO LISTENING TO MUSIC. A FEW MINUTES LATER, ALL I SAW WAS ZACH KNEELING TO THE GROUND AND AN OBJECT COMING TOWARD MY FACE.
"WHAT IS THAT?"...I REMEMBER SAYING.
"A RING." HE REPLIED WITH A LAUGH.
MY CHEST FILL UP WITH NERVOUS EXCITEMENT AND TEARS WELLED UP IN MY EYES, AS HE PUT THE RING ON MY FINGER AND SAID THE WORDS, "WILL YOU MARRY ME?"
I COULDN'T SPEAK. I WRAPPED MY ARMS AROUND HIS NECK AND I CRIED. I QUICKLY MUSTERED UP ENOUGH BREATHE TO REPLY, "OF COURSE I WILL!"
